Friday Favorites

This week was a little crazy so I didn't get a chance to publish this post yesterday...better late than never!

1. Trader Joe's Kansas City Style BBQ Sauce: This has been our favorite bbq sauce to grill chicken with this summer...so good! We are addicted.

2. Urban Decay eyeshadow in Suspect: I bought the UD Naked 2 Palette a while ago and this is pretty much the only shadow from it that I use on a regular basis. I'm almost running out and will need a refill soon! I'm a fan of neutral colors for eyeshadow and this one quickly became a favorite.

3. iPhone 5 Case from Rifle Paper Co. : Let's be real, I love everything Rifle Paper Co. makes and I can't wait to pick up this phone case for my new iPhone 5s. I love the bold yellow and gold foiling.

4. Greenroom Metallic Notebook: I have these notebooks in almost every color they make. They are great for journaling, taking notes, and small enough to throw in your purse for grocery lists, etc. Love the gold polka dots!

Friday Favorites

Happy Independence Day! I hope everyone has fun weekend plans. I love this summer holiday and am so grateful to live in a country where I am free.

Here are my favorite finds from the week!


































1.  V-neck blouse from H&M: Loving this top from H&M! It's a simple cute and comfortable top to wear to work, or pair with jeans.

2. Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Color in Sumac Sonic: I'm a big fan of this quick dry nail polish. It really does dry quickly, and I've found that it lasts longer than most nail polishes. Picked up this shade the other day, and am loving it for summer!

3. Merona® Tote Handbag in Cognac: Saw this bag at Target and bought it for work. It is a great size, great price, and looks more expensive than it really is. Very happy with my purchase!

4. Easy Paella with Chicken Shrimp and Sausage: Don't let the word "paella" intimidate you...this is truly a simple and easy version, but sooo delicious. It is husband approved and has become one of our favorite dinners. Plus, its gluten and dairy free- just make sure to check the labels on whatever sausage you decide to use. I made it this week and used spicy italian chicken sausages from Trader Joe's, mini shrimp, and added cooked and chopped turkey bacon instead of chicken.

Friday Favorites

Here's a little challenge for myself to hopefully keep me consistently blogging. Every Friday I'll share a round up of four or five of my favorite things/products for the week...I always love reading about new products or inexpensive finds. Link up each week to share some of your own favorites!

Here's the list for this week:

1. Panera Fuji Apple Dressing: This find is thanks to a good friend who brought over a delicious salad for dinner a couple of weeks ago. You can find this amazing salad dressing in your local grocery store (I got mine at Safeway). Have it with a spinach salad topped with feta cheese and dried apples. Perfect for summer...but I'm just warning you, it's addicting.

2. Natural Bronzer by Rimmel: Other than my foundation, I'm a big purchaser of drug store cosmetics. Ran out of my previous bronzer (by Cover Girl) and decided to pick up this one by Rimmel London. Haven't ever used Rimmel products before but I am impressed with this bronzer. It is natural looking and doesn't have the glittery-shimmer effect that I'm not a fan of. I've got this in the Sun Bronze shade and for about $5.00 a pop its worth a try!

3. The Fault in Our Stars by John Greene: Yes...I'm joining the John Greene bandwagon and finally purchased a copy of this book. I read it in a couple of days. Greene is an eloquent and humorous writer...and also has a proficient ability to evoke tears from his readers. Hubs and I saw the movie this week, and it was really good but the book is always better...you can score a Kindle version for $4.99 right now!

4. Gold Stapler - Nate Burkus for Target: Received this as a gift from a couple of friends and I am in LOVE. Its so pretty...and practical. I'm a fan of anything gold and this will make my office desk so pretty.

5. Herb Markers: These copper colored herb markers are gorge and look great next to my mint and basil. They are only $2.99 at my beloved Target...another perfect summer find, get some while they are still in stock!
